Chancel Redesign

In February of 2007 the Session approved the redesign of the chancel in our multipurpose facility.  This involved the lowering of the "stage" and creating three different levels.  The stage flooring was also turned over to the hard or uncarpeted side to increase the "sound" of the room.  Secondly the praise team was moved up along with the baby grand piano and the keyboard.  The pulpit was also moved up to the lowest level.  The Lord's Table and the Baptismal font were left on the floor for both theological and practical reasons.  Most people can now access the chancel for worship and special events.  With the work also came a reset of the sound system during which several cables and components faced replacement and readjustment.

We now have a setup that is more conducive to worship and will provide a place for the gifts and talents of God's People to shine.

The Chancel as it was. Everything was on on the floor with the exceptions of special event.

Another angle of the former setup.

Everything is down on the floor. When the praise team was up on the "stage" they were seperated from the piano which would have been hard to raise 32".

The Area Cleared

Nothing here!
